Something so special Because it is not a fine oil, but rustic, authentic, unique, unfiltered, made with 100% southern Italian olives (not a melange of oils from different countries blended together) but the Southern Italian territorio where, soil, sun, rain and most importantly passion and expertise has shaped it. It is robust, fresh, green, cloudy, the pepper arrives after 4 seconds, its something you definitely will not find in any supermarket or most food shops. Made with olives cultivated in Sicily.
This is the type of oil you pour in a bowl and eat with warm sourdough scooping it up. Drizzle onto many different dishes - sauces, minestrone, salads of course, into pasta, risotto and gnocchi, onto tomatoes with mozzarella - so many uses in the kitchen but too good to cook with! It is handmade by a small producer using traditional cold press methods and is full of the beneficial Oleic acid and omega 9 oils which contribute to health benefits.
