Ghiglione Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil 250ml Tin (Rationed to 3 tins)
Founded in 1920 in the Medieval village of Dolcedo, in a small valley called Val Prino. This is the creme-de-la-creme of Ligurian oils. Not only typical of the region, but at the top end as being both a PDO (Protected Domination of Origin) which like Champagne can only be produced in a given region, but also certified Organic and cold pressed only a few hours after harvesting in order to obtain the best from the olives. Anna who produces it is so passionate about doing things properly. When we were tasting this oil in Italy, she was smiling, knowing we would be as passionate about it as we are.
