In the old days, people were far more practical than we are today. In the south of Italy, it was tradition for the passata and tomato sauces to be put into used (cleaned!) beer bottles. What goes around, comes around and here they are again, a datterino tomato sauce from Sicily in the classic beer bottle.
Use with pasta of course but not only. I'd recommend them for stews and sauces to serve with polenta and gnocchi, and with meatballs they are just fantastic.

Bought this interesting looking bottle of tomato sauce. Just opened it and am very happy. The sauce is thick and so fresh and tomato-ey. Nothing like the offerings from our uK supermarkets. Which always seem to have a nasty aftertaste. Enough for two with pasta and tuna. Highly recommend.

I bought this product along with some pasta for my son at the beginning of lockdown as he was having trouble finding these. He told me that the sauce was amazing and full of flavour. He also enjoyed the fact that it was in a beer bottle. He would definitely recommend this product.
