    Butterbean Fagiolo di Spagna

Posted by David Worlidge on 7th May 2026

I purchased this on the recommendation of a friend but I have been severely disappointed with the germination of this product. I first tried the usual bean method of putting them in a Tupperware on a damp kitchen towel. Most of the beans went mouldy but two did sprout and I potted them on successfully. I then tried six beans in compost and only one sprouted. I think there is something wrong with the current batch and would not recommend buying.
