100% Durum Wheat Friselle from Puglia (Forte / Oropan)
Authentic double-baked Apulian friselle made with re-milled 100% durum wheat semolina and sourdough starter. These traditional hard bread rings from Puglia are dry, intensely flavoured, and designed to absorb seasonings while retaining their characteristic fragrance. Produced by Oropan Spa in Altamura (BA), Italy.
Ingredients:
Durum wheat semolina, sourdough (durum wheat semolina, water), water, yeast, salt.
May contain soy and mustard.
For every 100 g of friselle: 100 g durum wheat semolina + 9 g sourdough were used.

How to Enjoy / Serving Suggestions
Friselle are perfect as an appetiser, side dish, or snack. They excel at absorbing flavours.
Basic preparation
• Sprinkle with 2 or more tablespoons of water until they reach the desired softness, or
• Quickly dip in cold water and let them soften.
Traditional way
Top with cherry tomatoes, salt, fresh basil, and plenty of extra virgin olive oil.
