Genepi Liqueur Des Alpes 50cl
If you have been skiing in Italy, Switzerland or France, you may well have had a glass of Genepi which is made with 63 alpine herbs and plants, alcohol and sugar cane syrup. It is fragrant and aromomatic, but with a soft sweetness that takes the edge off the alcohol.
Genepi is a liqueur and should be enjoyed straight up, at room temperature or very cold, and is just the ticket as a winter warmer whether on the slopes or on a wet UK day, or could be enjoyed as a digestif after a meal.
It could also be served as you would an absinthe, by adding a few drops to a sugar cube.
