French red garlic

French garlic is the most renowned and my Mum still tells me stories when she was young in London with the French garlic and onion sellers coming on their bikes to sell their wares. Very high quality, rustic, well balanced and it will enrich any dish it is used in.

French Red Garlic sets
I received and planted these in October. Now, in November, nearly all the individual cloves have germinated and the leaves are currently about 8 inches long! Only 4 out of 5 stars as, although I am really pleased with progress up to now, it is way too soon to say whether or not I am actually going to have anything to harvest.

French Red Garlic
Arrived spot on time for our planting calendar! Large high quality bulbs.Larger than the white. In the raised bed and had a good period of cold weather. Showing well. Looks like another excellent crop is on the way. Firts time I've bought Garlic from Franchi's - it pays to buy early so that the crop is in the ground for the cold spell!

These are excellent quality large size bulbs in really good condition and the amount received is very good value for money . I purchased one each of the red and white varieties and planted mid November.
