chicory rossa Italiana

Who knew that this pretty chicory would be so good. I planted seed in modules first, then made a 3 line bee zig-zag stretch of planting. The leaves were big enough to add to salad, then when it really grew taller... this was when it became a great stirfry addition after cutting finely in strips. I trimmed the row the second year after flowering, and its still going strong. meanwhile I have planted the same for a second year to keep it all going. cant do without it now. picked any time the birds didnt seem to see it? no loss. I grow organically
