Although you can use any borlotti bean for making 'Pasta e Fagioli', The bean to use is Lamon from Belluno in the Veneto region of Italy. Variegated bean, pinkish red splodges on white. High iron and fibre content.

Borlotto bean lamon
Sowed these las month to put in containers on the patio. Every seed came up healthy and strong, planted the out last week they really are looking good already in their containers. Looking forward to having a good harvest end of summer. These are superb.
