Product Description
C28 - Long, curved fruits. This variety is from Liguria in the alpine North of Italy. The seeds are in the bulbous end, which means you get a neck of pure meaty flesh. This variety has boomed in popularity in the last few years because it is easy to go and delicious to boot. Also, it climbs so you can trail it up a fence and grow it upward rather than using up valuable ground space in the garden.
Growing habit: Trailing
Approximate seeds quantity:@30
Sow: from mid March - August

Tromba
Lovely courgette and very easy to grow. I grow mine up a trellis and pick them when they’re small, about four inches. At that size they still retain their flowers and look pretty when cooked whole. They’re prolific climbers so need a bit of space.

Trombone of Alberta squash
I have grown these for a number of years and really like these squash. They grow really well and the squash are superb for cooking, nice firm flesh and seeds only at one end, even quite large.

Squash Tromba of Albenga
My goodness! Make sure you give this plant PLENTY of room to grow, it's like nothing else I've ever seen, it took over this very large bed, climbed everything and anything in its path, twined tendrils round everything, me too if I stood still long enough. So far it's produced 2 spherical fruits about the size of a large orange and there are a couple more on the plant with lots of flowers. Plenty of pollinators have been in and out of the flowers, I've watched them, but a lot of flowers have just died off. I had thought to have a lot more veg of this, but maybe it put all it's efforts into growing so humungous and none into producing fruit. Will also give this another go next year, but in a much much bigger plot on its own.
