Garlic needs at least 6 weeks of cold weather. You can put them in the fridge for a week and then they will start to produce green shoots. Each clove produces a mid-sized strong white garlic bulb for use in the kitchen. Sow in winter Nov-Feb and pick late spring or early summer depending on where you are.
