A tradition in Sicily where the new fresh unaged cheese is infused with whole Sicilian pistacchio nuts to give the mild tangy cheese a nuttier flavour. Made with pasteurized sheeps milk as tradition requires and this type of cheese goes back thousands of years to Homer it is said. Made in Trapani, Sicily, the pistacchio nuts are a modern update on an ancient cheese. @150g or more.
Ingredients: Sheep's milk or mixed pasteurized sheep's and cow's milk, pistachio, salt renne, lactic ferments. Maturation 10 Days. Allergens: Milk, including lactose,nuts and derivatives. Gluten: Absent.
