Krumiri are traditional Piemontese cookies, the production of which began in Casale Monferrato, where they were invented by confectioner Domenico Rossi in 1878. Krumiri are shortcrust cookies with a slightly curved shape and a rough surface. Legend has it that... this shape of the cookies was supposed to resemble the mustach of Vittorio Emanuele II (the first king of Italy) was created in honor of him, which Vittorio was famous for.
Krumiri Classici Bistefani are cookies that have not changed their recipe since the beginning of production (1955).
