Great addition to the salad crops with a crisp texture and great ( slightly bitter) taste! it does well in our N. facing garden on heavy clay soil, and will keep growing well into December here in E. Yorks. I sometimes transplant a couple of later sown plants to the greenhouse when the tomatoes are finished, and provided we remember to water them, they will grow quite happily and give us some salad leaves through till the end of February. I find them a bit slower than other salad crops to germinate, but I do get 100% germination - which is excellent!
