Like turkey meat, Tuna has dark meat along its bone and this is where all the flavour is! But you can only buy white tuna meat and this product is eaten really by the locals and those who know it! It is typical of Sicily and Sardigna but also eaten in other fishing towns around Italy. The colour is dark and uses parts of the fillet with the dark meat from around the spine. Eat on toast, in sandwiches, this is good stuff. Made in Calabria.
